Overview

The Civil Society Democratic Governance Facility (Amkeni Wakenya) is a civil society strengthening project of UNDP established in 2008 to provide coordinated technical and financial support to non-state actors working on democratic governance in Kenya.

UNDP Amkeni Wakenya invites interested and eligible National Organizations including NGOs, FBOs, Academic Institutions, CBOs to submit proposals for award of grants in a programme entitled “REPEAT-CALL 9 (PLEAD2):  [1.] LOT2 (Tana River County CSOs only) - Enhanced Access to Justice for the Poor and Marginalized Communities. [2.] LOT3 (National Actors only) - Strengthen Paralegalism and Self-Regulation.

ALL Proposals and supporting documents must be submitted to UNDP Kenya ONLY through bids.ke@undp.org (strictly before deadline) with the email Subject Matter clearly indicated as appropriate:

“REPEAT-CALL 9 (PLEAD2):  LOT2 (Tana River County CSOs only) - Enhanced Access to Justice for the Poor and Marginalized Communities.

REPEAT-CALL 9 (PLEAD2):  LOT3 (National Actors only) - Strengthen Paralegalism and Self-Regulation.

The deadline for the submission of Proposal Applications is on 21st August 2023, 4:30pm Kenyan time. CSOs not previously funded by UNDP Amkeni Wakenya Facility are Highly encouraged to apply. Applicants should apply for only one Lot.

For Tana River Call, Amkeni Wakenya will hold an interactive physical Public Information Forum (PIF) and Proposal Writing Workshop as follows to provide more details on the call and answer frequently asked questions:

Garseni Town: at CARITAS Hall on 8th August 2023 starting 9am to 3pm

Hola Town: at SHEMEJI HOTEL on 9th August 2023 starting 9am to 3pm  

For the National Call, Amkeni Wakenya will hold a virtual interactive Public Information Forum (PIF) and Proposal Writing Workshop on 10th August 2023 starting 9am to 3pm to provide more details on the call and answer frequently asked questions.

Applicants are encouraged to register for the virtual PIF and the proposal writing workshop via the above zoom link.  

NB: Interested applicants are advised to cater for their own travel arrangements for those travelling to join the physical sessions while the national participants attending the virtual sessions should cater for their own connectivity means and cater for their own costs in joining the virtual sessions.
