Overview

The Civil Society Democratic Governance Facility (Amkeni Wakenya) is a civil society strengthening project of UNDP established in 2008 to provide coordinated technical and financial support to non-state actors working on democratic governance in Kenya.

UNDP Amkeni Wakenya invites interested and eligible non-state actors including NGOs, FBOs, Academic Institutions, CBOs in Mombasa County to submit proposals for award of grants in a programme entitled “SUPPORT TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT (SCC)”. The project is to be piloted and implemented in the county of Mombasa.

ALL Proposals and supporting documents must be submitted to UNDP Kenya ONLY through bids.ke@undp.org (strictly before deadline) with the email Subject Matter clearly indicated as appropriate:

REPEAT-CALL 10-GP4: LOT1 (Mombasa County CSOs only) - Women-led Enterprises and CSOs to undertake advocacy and sensitization on Small Claims Court (SCCs) and e-justice services among network members. OR REPEAT-CALL 10-GP4: LOT2 (Mombasa County CSOs only) - Women-Focussed CSOs to undertake advocacy and sensitization on Small Claims Court (SCCs) and e-justice services

The deadline for the submission of Proposal Applications is on Monday 21st August 2023, 4:30pm Kenyan time. CSOs not previously funded by UNDP Amkeni Wakenya Facility are Highly encouraged to apply. Applicants should apply for only one Lot.

PLEASE NOTE: Amkeni Wakenya will hold an interactive physical Public Information Forum (PIF) and Proposal Writing Workshop on Friday 11th August 2023 at Tononoka Social Hall starting 9am. The PIF will aid in providing more details on the call for Proposals and answer frequently asked questions.

NB: Interested applicants are advised to cater for their own transport arrangements to the venue.
