Dear Applicant, EPIU SA is please to announce on a position for intenrational consultancy on Land Management and Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) for the UNDP-GEF supported “Conservation and Sustainable Management of Land Resources and High Value Ecosystems in Lake Sevan Basin for Multiple Benefits” UNDP-GEF full-sized project. We are hiring a Land Management and Land Degradation Neutrality Expert to join the Project team and provide high quality consultancy in the project efforts (under the Project Outcomes 1.1.1/1.1.4 and 3.1.1) to contribute to the overall progress towards the National LDN Target by bringing 168,000 ha of landscape under LDN compatible sustainable land management practices in the Lake Sevan Basin through: - focusing at regional LDN target setting and implementation in Lake Sevan Basin landscape
- strengthening the inter-sectorial coordination for LDN at Lake Sevan landscape level
- coordinating closely with the existing similar LDN initiatives in order to establish monitoring and reporting mechanisms for LDN and exchange lessons learned and experience on LDN regional implementation and reporting from sub-national to national
