Dear Madam / Sir,

                  WE KINDLY REQUEST YOU TO SUBMIT YOUR BID FOR THE SALE OF USED VEHICLES ON ‘AS-IS-WHERE IS’ BASES THROUGH COMPETITIVE BIDDING. INTERESTED BIDDERS ARE THEREFORE INVITED TO SUBMIT THEIR BIDS AS PER INSTRUCTIONS BELOW :


1. Prospective Bidders can inspect the vehicles from 09:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 30th April 2025 to Wednesday, 14th May 2025 at UNDP Country Office, Fourah Bay Close, Off Main Motor Road, Wilberforce, Freetown, and at WFP Warehouse, Kissy, Freetown.


2.Prospective bidders must come with valid ID cards to UNDP compound and at WFP Warehouse, Kissy, Freetown on the said date and time of the inspection. Please make sure you collect the (Bid form) at the UNDP Reception or request by email through (registry.sl@undp.org).


a.The bids must be sent via email to (procure.sle@undp.org). All bids should clearly indicate on your email subject: (Bid for Used vehicles), full name, address, telephone number, email address, the type of vehicle, registration number, signature, date and the bid amount for the vehicle.
b. The closing date for receipt of bid is 14th May 2025.


3.The successful bidder will be required to pay the amount to UNDP account as follows:

c.Bank:                     Rokel Commercial Bank (Sierra Leone) Ltd


4.All bids must also contain a bank draft issued to the UNDP representing 10% of the bid value of the item bid for. A photocopy of the bank draft together with the bid form must be sent via email to (procure.sle@undp.org). The original bank draft sealed on an envelope sent to the UNDP Reception. This bank draft will be considered as a deposit, and the winner will only pay the difference between the bidding price and the amount on the bank draft. Please note that the bank draft goes as a bid security, upon notification of the successful bidder if he/she turns down the offer you will forfeit your bank draft. UNDP will return the bank drafts for all unsuccessful bidders at the end of the process.


5.These vehicles were purchased on a duty-free concession, therefore successful winner(s) are responsible for settlement of any government duties/taxes.


6.The receipt of the vehicles should be within one (1) week after notifications of the award to the winner. In case the winner does not pay and collect the vehicles within one (1) week, the next best bidder/s will be awarded.


7.UNDP Reserves the Right to accept or reject bid or all bids at its discretion without any liability whatsoever.


8.All bidders MUST comply with the above instruction laid downed as defaulter(s) will automatically be disqualified.

Quotations submitted by email must be limited to a maximum of 10 MB, virus-free and no more than two (2) email transmissions.  They must be free from any form of virus or corrupted contents, or the quotations shall be rejected.
