|Overview : |
The Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP) provides non-governmental and community-based organizations (NGOs/CBOs) in developing countries with grants to enable them to tackle global environmental challenges while addressing local sustainable development needs. In Cambodia, SGP implemented by UNDP Country Office started financing projects in 2005 and since then has succeeded in funding and providing technical support for nearly 200 grant projects.
UNDP Cambodia is looking for a qualified NGO or academic institution to develop the GEF SGP Country Programme Strategy in a participatory manner. The strategy outline should contain specific eligibility criteria to ensure the alignment of its activities with the SGP OP6 project document, the country’s national priorities, GEF 6 programming directions, and potential for synergy with UNDP and other partner agencies. The responsible entity (non-governmental organizations or academic institutions) will be selected through an early call for proposals and funded through a grant.
Interested NGOs and academic institutions should submit applications containing name and organization registration, financial proposal and a brief methodology to develop the GEF SGP Country Programme Strategy.
Please send your application including financial proposal in a sealed envelope to UNDP Cambodia, No. 53, Pasteur Street, Sangkat Boeng Keng Kang, Phnom Penh, PO Box 877, Cambodia, ATTN: Mrs. Ngin Navirak, SGP National Coordinator. Further information can be obtained from GEF SGP National Coordinator, Mrs. Ngin Navirak, at firstname.lastname@example.org (Tel 012 84 40 83).
Only short listed proposal will be contacted for further information.
