Applications for the Small Grants Projects for Development Minerals

The ACP-EU Development Minerals Programame, implemented by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Jamaica in collaboration with Mines and Geology Division, Ministry of Transport and Mining, invite applications from qualified Small- Scale Mining and Quarrying Entrepreneurs/Public Institutions/Mining Associations/Civil Society Organizations/Community groups/Academia for the following Grants:

General Requirements:

Applicants should have at least participated in one of the Training of Trainers (TOT) Country Training Workshop under the ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme in partnership with the Ministry of Transport and Mining. The trainings were aimed   at enhancing environmental, mine and quarry management, business management skills for small scale mining entrepreneurs operating in the Development minerals sector, civil society organizations, community groups, training centres and government and local government agencies. Each trainee was asked to develop a Return to Work Plan (RWP) to promote continuity of the training experience.

All Applications should be received no later than Monday, October 26th, 2020, by 5:00 pm JA time indicating the assignment being applied for, in the Subject Field. Interested individuals should submit their applications by email only.

Please ensure that your project proposal is clear and concise, preferably no more than 8-10 pages of text, excluding the attachments (not more than 10 pages). Please ensure that your submission is complete and sent via email to: ruth.clarke@undp.org (File should not exceed 30mb). Grant Funding Requests

The funding awarded to successful applicants will be up to USD 5,000 per project. Participants must submit one proposal indicating the area of interest as guided in the project proposal template. The project proposal should include: Signed cover letter, completed project proposal, relevant additional attachments.
